Over A Thousand People In Canada Report Their UFO and Extraterrestrial Encounters
Is Earth the only planet that has life in the universe? There may be no definite answer yet but over a thousand Canadians observed anomalies in the sky. According to the data gathered by the Canadian UFO Survey, there were 1, 180 UFO sightings in 2013. The number of sightings last year is second to the highest since the survey started 25 years ago. The highest number of UFO sighting was recorded in 2012 with 1,981. Ufologist Chris Rutkowski of Winnipeg believes that the rise in UFO sighting reports since 1989 has a lot of reasons. He said that more people are aware of the anomalies in the sky and curious about these mysterious lights or objects. There were 65 UFO sightings in Manitoba and Winnipeg is the third among cities with 39. Canada already reported 13, 786 sightings since 1989 with 1,075 in Manitoba. Rutwoski said that the average sighting lasted for around 13 minutes in about three sightings every day across the country. While over 50% of the sighting were simple lights, some were definite shapes. In 2013, there were 3 sightings classified as category C3 or known as close encounters of the third kind (people reported seeing actual extraterrestrials) and
another 3 grouped under C4 or called as close encounters of the fourth kind (people reporting of having alien contacts or experiencing alien abductions). Many witnesses were considered as people who have good judgment and observing capabilities including pilots and police officers, according to the survey. One of the sightings that is considered as most reliable and strange in the report involves two children who heard a beeping noise before seeing a massive flying object that looked like a hotel with protrusions and windows. According to the children who were sledding at that time in Musquodoboit, N.S. on 8th of January 2013, they saw it flew above nearby house before it disappeared to their naked eye. Another sighting that is considered as most reliable is the account from a retired helicopter pilot, who claimed he saw 50 round, orange lights flying in pairs on September 28 across the sky in Portage la Prairie.

Precedence For Looking at Alternate Theories for Missing Malasia Airlines Jet.
In my efforts to give the open minded people of the world an alternate viewpoint of the world, I would like to point out that missing aircraft have happened a few times in the past, with differing media coverage. And some of these planes have never been found, after many many years. These disappearances have happened all over the world, with some having corroborating evidence on radar of having contact with UFOs. Am I saying that MA 370 was abducted by a UFO? No. But with all theories formed then dismissed, past evidence is there that this should at least be considered.

The mysterious case of the disappearance of an airplane piloted by Frederick Valentich, who reportedly told traffic control that he was being chased by a UFO off the Victorian coast 36 years ago, has long been thought to be one of the cases that can never be solved.
However, a recent development may shed some light on somewhat dim chances of getting the incident solved. Documents gathered by air safety investigation team revealed that an engine cowl flap of Cessna 182 aircraft, the same model being operated by Valentich, was recovered at the shore of Flinders Island 5 years after the disappearance.
But many are skeptical if the 30 centimeter long, corroded component is the same ill-fated plane piloted by Valentich. The debris was broken in three pieces when it was discovered and now its part is apparently lost or scrapped.
Modern technology could verify if the debris was in Bass Strait’s salt water for five years. Richard, brother of Frederick, checked with aviation authorities about the cowl debris. Richard wanted to know if the debris was still in the storage somewhere. Richard said that it is worth pursuing every single evidence that could link the incident involving the disappearance of his brother.
There has been separate report claiming that Frederick had shared his alien abduction experience to his girlfriend week before the mysterious disappearance. This report is being documented on the National Archives of Australia’s papers.
In the said report, Frederick told air traffic control in Melbourne that an unidentified aircraft followed his plane. The UFO was described by Frederick with four bright lights and was moving at high speed or orbited above his plane. After reporting about engine failure of his plane, no one ever heard of the pilot since.

A Russian Proton-M rocket with an advanced satellite on board crashed outside of Kazakhstan’s territory on Friday, about nine minutes after lift-off. The Express-AM4R would have been Russia’s most advanced and powerful satellite.
The crash was likely caused by a failure in one of the third stage’s steering engines, reported Oleg Ostapenko, the head of the Russian national space agency Roscosmos.
“The exact cause is hard to establish immediately, we will be studying the telemetry. Preliminary information points to an emergency pressure drop in a steering engine of the third stage of the rocket,” he said.
However several Youtube users have suggested that the rocket was targeted by a UFO.In the videos below you can see an object enter the screen from the right, it seems to pass through the tail of the rocket, then shortly after the rocket fails.

Strange Visitors Causing Or Witnessing Devastating Disasters?
Former Russian cosmonaut Marina Popovich, holder of more than 102 world records listed in the Guinness Book of Records, has decided to openly support the movement for UFO disclosure.
To do so she will travel to the United States later this year to attend a conference in which the official will announce her personal decision to side with the Disclosure Project and promote the total release of all information concerning the extraterrestrial presence on our planet.
On this occasion, she will be accompanied by two fellow American astronauts who will support this effort to approach both the government and the American Congress, in an attempt to get the truth revealed publicly.
Back in May, Popovich had been interviewed by the movement Exopolitics, revealing some personal experiences lived during space missions and her willingness in supporting the disclosure of the UFO phenomenon.

Chile Releases Stunning UFO Photos

The government office investigating UFOs in Chile has released an analysis of two high quality photos showing what appear be genuine unidentified flying objects above a remote copper mine. The office, known as the CEFAA (Committee for the Studies of Anomalous Aerial Phenomena), is located within the Ministerial Department of Civil Aeronautics (DGAC), the equivalent of our FAA, under the jurisdiction of the Chilean Air Force. It is responsible for the analysis of selected reports of unexplained aerial phenomena in Chilean airspace, most of them from pilots and aviation personnel.
The photos were taken at the Collahuasi copper mine, more than 14,000 feet above sea level in the Andean plateau in the far north of Chile. An extremely remote location with low oxygen levels and unusually clear skies, the area is desolate and inhospitable. The Collahuasi mine produces copper concentrate, copper cathodes and molybdenum concentrate from three open-pit mineral deposits. (Click here for a map).
Four technicians - professionals specializing in electricity, electronics, and fluid control - were working there in April, 2013. They witnessed a disc-shaped object which approached slowly and was present for more than an hour, moving around in different positions and hovering at about 2000 feet. One technician took pictures with his Kenox Samsung S860 camera. The strange object made no sound, and eventually moved away towards the East.
The witnesses decided not to tell anybody because of the negative associations they had with UFO sightings, and therefore had every intention of always keeping the sighting private. But some months later, the photographer casually showed the pictures to the chief engineer at the mine, who asked for copies. The engineer sent the images to the CEFAA in February, and provided the agency with information reported to him by the witnesses. He too has requested anonymity.
Chile's meteorological office at the DGAC confirmed that there was an absolute clear sky at that time, and that there was no possibility of lenticular clouds. All other meteorological phenomena have been ruled out by Chilean officials as a possible explanation.
CEFAA officials told me they determined that there were no drones operating near the mine. "People in that zone know about drones," said Jose Lay, international affairs director for the CEFAA. "Fishing companies use drones and they make a lot of noise. This was definitely not a drone." DGAC officials also ruled out any experimental aircraft, planes, weather balloons, or anything else that could explain the incident.
With all conventional explanations eliminated, the CEFAA staff determined that the photos were worthy of analysis. The results of this study, conducted by a leading CEFAA analyst at the DGAC Meteorological Office, was released on July 3rd and is posted on the CEFAA website.
The report states that the witnesses described the phenomenon as "a flattened disc, of brilliant color, with a diameter of 5 to 10 meters [16 to 32 feet]. It performed ascending, descending and horizontal movements in short lengths, about 600 meters above the ground." The witnesses had the impression that the object was under intelligent control.
The first image, enlarged and filtered, shows a solid object reflecting the sunlight, the report states. It adds that the object could be emitting it's own energy as well, due to the high temperature shown in the image (the black area).
The second photo shows the object in a different position in the sky. (The CEFAA does not know the time sequence between the two images.)
The text on this diagram of the enlarged second image indicates lines where very soft rays were reflected from an "extremely luminous half sphere." The analyst concludes that the object "emitted its own energy that does not coincide with the natural sunlight which is also reflected off the object." At noon, the brightness underneath could not have been caused by the sun, which was reflected off the top.
The study concludes that "It is an object or phenomenon of great interest, and it can be qualified as a UFO."
Despite the strength of this analysis, the CEFAA staff recognize the limitations of the Collahuasi case. "The witnesses were not willing to cooperate," Jose Lay told me. "We tried to contact them, and we got no reply. So we treated the material just as we have treated several others of the same or similar nature: we file them for future reference or comparison purposes. That's all we can do in this case."
General Ricardo Bermudez, director of the CEFAA, says "We recognize that this is the determination of only one CEFFA analyst among several. So we still must be cautious." He has called a meeting of the CEFFA scientific committee, composed of high level specialists from laboratories and universities, for next week. Although they are not expert visual photo-video analysts, the opinion of this distinguished group, which supports the work of the CEFAA and assists with investigations when needed, could shed further light on the case.
The South American media has shown great interest in these images. In the US, retired Navy physicist Bruce Maccabee, a well known photo analyst, has this to say: "In the second image there appears to be a very bright hemispherical shape, convex downward... possibly a UFO enveloped in a cloud of vapor." He notes that additional data is needed to determine more, but that it is clear that the object moved "a considerable distance" between the two photos.
"This is clearly not a normal thing seen in the sky (bird, plane, cloud, etc.)," added Dr. Maccabee in an email. "That makes it either the real thing - UFO - or a hoax, and it doesn't appear to be a hoax, although the inability to question witnesses does reduce the credibility. Certainly this case is worthy of further study."
It is indeed unfortunate that the four witnesses have not been willing to speak to the authorities, who could guarantee them anonymity. But even so, these images are important because they were studied by a government agency with access to the pertinent information needed for a proper analysis. That in itself is unusual. I commend the CEFAA for taking on cases such as this. The experts there conducted a serious investigation, and then released the information to the public, with no reservations about acknowledging the possible existence of a UFO, since that is warranted.

How to detect faked (Photoshopped) images:
It is important in the investigation of UFOs to be able to weed through photographs that are obviously hoaxed.
However, it isn't always an easy task to be able to tell if a photo has been faked. So how do you know if a picture has been Photoshopped?
Context:
In what context is the picture presented? Image manipulation is the norm in some contexts, like product and fashion photography, and some kinds of artistic photo. News agencies and nature photographers on the other hand have strict ethical rules against manipulation. First think about if manipulation is to be expected and if it should be accepted.
Realism:
Is the image realistic overall? Some manipulated images are so surrealistic that you can dismiss them as unreal at once, even if they are very well done technically. Ask yourself, - can this be real?
Sequence:
Do you have access to several shots from the same scene?
Are there discrepancies between them?
Lighting:
Are light and shadows similar between objects in the picture? Pay attention to which side is lighter, how hard the light seem to be and how the objects cast shadows. Needless to say, objects close to each other get the same light in real life. If they are illuminated differently, they may originate from different photos. Also pay attention to the environment. From what direction is the light supposed to come?
Perspective:
Is the perspective right? Getting this right is always a challenge when combining objects from different pictures. Just look at the shot and trust your gut feeling. Pictures with minor perspective errors do often feel wrong even if you can’t tell what the problem is.
Antialiasing:
Does the objects’ edges look right? A lot of work may go into the edges when putting something in front of a new background. They often give away the fake if they are done sloppily or with lacking skills. Pay special attention to people’s hair as that is hard to mask.
Cloning:
Image manipulation often requires filling areas to replace removed objects. Patterns that repeat in an unnatural way is a sure sign of sloppy cloning. Cloning can also be used to multiply an object, but several identical object do rarely look exactly identical in a real photo due to differences in perspective and lighting. It’s fishy if they look identical in a picture.
Color:
Is the color consistent? Do different parts of a human’s body have the same skin color? An object’s apparent color depends very much of the illumination’s color temperature. Do the different objects have a consistent color cast?
Eyes:
Pay close attention to the detail hidden in eyes. Compare eyes against other eyes. And watch for the glare or dots of light reflected.
Light reflections coming from different angles are usually an indication of a Photoshopped picture.
Noise and grain:
All digital capture devices leave some kind of structure in the picture. Most notable is the noise produced by digital cameras. You can check that this structure is constant over the whole picture if you have access to a fairly hi-resolution image. It’s futile to try this on small images from on-line news sites.
EXIF / Metadata
Metadata is data hidden inside the image files. One important piece of data is the software used to save the file. A camera model name would indicate no manipulation at all. Workflow programs like Adobe Lightroom and Apple Aperture are typically used to do moderate adjustments of images, but no real manipulation.
E.L.A:
Error level analysis (ELA) works by re-saving the image at 95% compression. Then calculating the difference. Big changes indicate its a manipulated. Touched up areas are easily seen. Blue/Red areas are generally Photoshop at work.
With all of the above being said, we have gathered together several useful photo analysis tools that you can use right now to help you determine whether or not a UFO photo is real. You do not need to be a professional image analyst to use these tools. However you will need a little bit of technical aptitude and of course an attention to detail.
Feel free to scan your photographs using these tools, but always keep your good ol'fashioned instincts in tune because there is ultimately no substitute for a keen eye and a sharp, discerning mind.

Lack of Updates
I just wanted to let everyone know that R.A.P.I.E.R. is still here. Due to some unfortunate computer issues, and the fact that I have a new job, I have not been able to update the site, or make any more episodes of Unreal Exposure. I have ordered a new, vastly more more powerful pc that will be arriving within days, so the updates will finally continue. Also, Unreal Exposure will be once again be releasing more episodes.
So I wanna thank everyone for their patience and may we all continue our sky watching, and our search for what's out there.
